Women often ask me, how do I love my body? I believe that love is a verb — it’s an action word. So the best way to begin loving your body is to start taking care of it. My Doll Butter recipe is designed to be part of your daily shower routine and weekly full body facial.
Don't know how to do a full body facial? Follow my step-by-step instructions below.
Feet & Legs
One of the most important things you can do for your feet and legs is to wash them regularly. Consistent cleaning helps to remove dirt, sweat, and bacteria that can cause odor and skin problems. I always encourage using a gentle massage technique to clean your feet and legs. The added massage also helps to improve circulation and reduce fatigue.
Use warm water and your preferred gentle soap to wash your feet and legs. Massage using circular motions. Pro-Tip: use a scrub or a soft brush to help remove dead skin cells.
Hips & Torso
Don't overlook your hips and torso! The hips and torso are far too often overlooked when it comes to washing and cleaning — but they are just as important as the rest of your body. Washing these areas helps remove sweat and bacteria that can cause skin irritation.
To wash your hips and torso, use a gentle soap or body wash and massage in a circular motion. Pay special attention to the creases and folds in the skin – and layer in some circular massages here as well!
Arms & Décolletage
When it comes to washing your body, it's essential to pay special attention to your arms and décolletage. When cleansing your arms, start at the shoulder and use circular motions. Work your way down the arm, using light pressure. When you reach the hand, use your thumb and fingers to massage each finger individually. Be sure to spend a few minutes on each arm and pay special attention to your armpits.
For your décolletage, massage the soap using light pressure and long strokes. To wash your arms and décolletage, continue to use your preferred gentle soap and lukewarm water.
The Doll Butter
After the luxurious cleansing Body Facial session, pat your skin dry. Immediately after, massage your softening Doll Butter over your whole body. Applying the Doll Butter after a shower or bath is critical to help prevent water loss and protect your skin against free radicals.
Simply scoop out a small amount and massage it into your skin to use the Doll Butter. Be sure to focus on any dry or cracked areas. The Doll Butter is especially beneficial for the drier areas, such as the elbows and arms.
The Body Facial is a great way to improve circulation, promote healing, and boost your self-love and confidence. Take the time to pamper yourself!
